BY REGISTERING TO PARTICIPATE IN AN SFT EVENT, ANGLERS
CERTIFY THAT THEY HAVE READ THE TOURNAMENT RULES AND
SHALL ABIDE BY THEM OR RISK HAVING YOUR FISH NOT COUNT!
-Every angler must use a rod and reel to catch fish in every tournament. NO
Bowfishing, Cast Netting, Spearfishing, Bangsticking, ETC.
- Bank, Boat, Kayak,Shore line fishing is all permitted
-Wire lines & Treble Hooks are permitted.
-In the event of a tie in overall weight, the angler that gets their fish weighed
FIRST wins the tie-breaker.
-By entering the tournament all anglers voluntarily consent to submit to a
polygraph examination as deemed necessary by tournament officials.
-SFT reserves the right to reschedule any tournament events. In case of bad
weather (Tropical cyclone/lightning/thunderstorms), the Tournament Committee will reschedule the event to a different date.
- NO REFUNDS, Once entry is paid all sales are final.
-It is expressly understood that all registered participants of SFT tournament
events participate voluntarily and at their own risk. Be Safe, have fun!
-Winning anglers will receive cash/check, prizes, etc. at Awards Presentation!
-Follow FWC Rules Regarding Snakeheads when regarding bringing into weigh in, Must be either donated or taken away by you after weighed. All winning fish will be inspected before leaving. Each angler is responsible for their own fish.
-No fishing secluded ponds on single owner private land, ALL Winners will be asked to provide a catch video once fish is landed while the fish is still hooked, and also give the metadata where the fish was caught, ANYONE caught fishing a private pond will be banned for life. (Gated Communities, Golf Courses, etc are all okay!)
-LINES IN at 7am. LINES OUT at 3pm. Scales are open from 3pm-4:30pm. Scales promptly close at 4:31pm. Any fish brought late to scales won't count.
-Awards Presentation will begin around 5:00pm
-No Rod sharing, Fishing Together is allowed but once drag is engaged the fish
is considered hooked by that angler and must be caught by that angler.
-Catch/Landing Nets are allowed ONLY once the fish has been hooked and is ready to be landed.
-The are no "Boundaries" other than fishing private singe owner land as discussed above, You can fish anywhere in Florida as long as you can make it back by weigh in.
-Angler Meeting is Mandatory to grab your Angler Band, Contact us if you
cannot make it. Angler meeting is from 6pm-8pm at RB Bait & Tackle.
-Winning Anglers will be decided by Single Heaviest Snakehead for each tournament.
-Tournament weight is unofficial until tournament committee has reviewed all necessary information required for catch video. (MUST USE THE TIMESTAMP APP)
-PRO ANGLER OF THE YEAR will be decided by the combination of your 3 Heaviest Fish (ONE FISH PER TOURNAMENT FOR A TOTAL OF 3 FOR THE SERIES AWARD).
PRO ANGLER SERIES RULES
All Pro Anglers must follow the General Rules as well as these once listed
below.
-NO LIVE BAIT, Artificial ONLY.
-In Your Catch Video the lure, frog, etc HAS to be in the fish mouth still.
-Pro Angler catch video has to show the ENTIRE fish, the surrounding area
and your Angler Catch Band. Anything else will be DQ'd.
-Make SURE your location is turned on for photos in settings so your location is saved with video in the TIMESTAMP APP. ALL Catch videos must be on the Timestamp App.
-All Guides, Charter Captains, and Influencers above 2000 Followers on ANY
platform will be mandatory PRO ANGLER Division.
-PRO ANGLER OF THE YEAR Series winner will be based on the anglers biggest 3 Snakeheads from the trail. At each tournament an angler gets to weigh in 1 fish for the series award. Fishing all 3 events will increase your chances!
-Each tournament will have 3 Pro Angler winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and the PRO ANGLER OF THE YEAR Series will have ONE Overall Grand Prize winner!

All Open, Junior, PeeWee Division Anglers must follow the General Rules as well as these below:
-ALL Bait styles are allowed, Live, Dead, Lures, etc.
-Your catch video HAS to show the fish still hooked, with angler band in video as well as the entire fish and the surrounding area. (USE TIMESTAMP APP)
-(PEEWEE ONLY) Age Range up to 11 years. On your 12th Birthday you will then be considered a Junior Angler.
-(JUNIOR ONLY) Age Range 12-16. On your 17th Birthday you will age out and be in general Open Division.
-Open Division will have 3 winners overall each tournament (1st, 2nd, 3rd), a First Place Junior and a First Place PeeWee.

The Snakehead Angler of the Year award is the most prestigious award handed out in the Snakehead Fishing Trail. It symbolizes dedication and hard work for the love of Snakehead fishing. The scoring format is an overall points race, where each event an angler has the ability to earn points based on what place they ranked in each tournament; points aren't given out past 30th place. The angler that collects the most points by the end of the season will win. The key here is to fish all 3 events, and to stay consistent. If there is a tie based on the scoring system, the tie breaker will be determined by whichever pro angler has the biggest fish weighed for the season. If an angler doesn't weigh a fish, they will receive a 0 pt score for that tournament. The scoring format is as follows:
